September 25

Today in class you learned about the process we call dissolving and you learned how to calculate solution concentration in percent by mass.

Other Vocab to know from today
Solute-Solute Attraction
Solvent -Solvent Attraction
Solute-Solvent Attraction

Solution Concentration:

Mass of Solute + Mass of Solvent = Mass of solution

Percent (by mass) = Mass of Solute/ mass of solution x 100

1 ppm = 1 mg solute/ 1 liter of solution
